Zurich North America has two important positions

Winters and Chepulis will report to Paul Lavelle, head of US National Accounts.

Winters has more than 35 years of experience in business, 15 of them in Zurich. He held key roles in sales and distribution, retail and wholesale, specialty lines and customer management. Before joining Zurich, he worked at XL Insurance Global Risk.

“Brian is well-respected and a very strong foundation among our customers and business owners,” Lavelle said. “We want to use that experience on National Accounts and Zurich North America.”

Chepulis served Zurich for 17 years in various roles in commercial insurance, distribution and regional management, and planning and execution. Prior to joining Zurich, he held finance roles at Navistar and Kemper Insurance.

“Bill’s technical strength and depth of knowledge will be invaluable as he oversees the devastating book of new and innovative businesses,” Lavelle said.

The latest appointments for Zurich. Earlier this month, Ben See, who was previously chief underwriting officer for Europe, the Middle East and Africa, has stepped into the role of chief underwriting officer of the group. In September, the company announced two new names industry leader for its American middle market team.
