Two men arrested for using stolen/cloned credit cards to buy $3800 in diesel

NOTES

On January 18, 2023, New York State Police in Morrisville investigated a report of the theft of diesel fuel from the Stewarts Gas Station on State Route 12B in the town of Madison, Madison County. After the investigation, it was determined that two people used stolen credit card numbers and cloned credit cards to purchase diesel fuel. They then loaded the stolen diesel fuel into a converted tractor-trailer with a large storage tank through hidden pipes and pumps.

The New York State Police arrested him Yosiel Ruiz Linares, 30 years from Union, NJ, and Jayview Martinez Fernandez36 years old from Hialeah, FL for the following charges:

  • (4 counts) Petit Larceny, a class “A” felony
  • (2 counts) Identity Theft Class 3, a class “A” felony.
  • (2 counts) Possession of a Class 2 Drug Device, a class “D” felony
  • (5 counts) Possession of a Skimming Device 2nd degree, a class “A” felony.

Both men were taken to the Madison County Jail to await arraignment.
