The NJ Attorney General’s Office is investigating the deadly police shooting in downtown Deptford.

DEPTFORD TOWNSHIP, New Jersey — The New Jersey Attorney General is investigating a fatal incident involving police officers in the southern part of the state.

The incident in Deptford Township, Gloucester County drew a large police presence on Fox Run Road.

Police received the 911 call just before 1:30 Sunday afternoon and immediately blocked off the streets surrounding the scene.

The Attorney General’s Office stated that a police officer fired his service weapon at the location, injuring a man.

Emergency medical personnel responded to treat the unidentified injured woman, who was pronounced dead at the scene at 1:55 p.m.

Authorities have not released details about the 911 call that led to the dispute.
