The Attorney General’s Office will review the officer involved in the shooting in Rapid City

According to Jackley, the Pennington County Sheriff’s Office, the Meade County Sheriff’s Office and the South Dakota Highway Patrol assisted at the scene.

The DCI will lead the investigation, Jackley said, and he noted that the Rapid City Police Department will cooperate in the investigation.

The DCI will conduct a crime scene investigation, conduct a forensic examination of all evidence collected, interview officers and witnesses, and review all surveillance footage. to take pictures of the area.
