JCPD is investigating the armed robbery at the River Region Credit Union

JEFFERSON CITY – Police and the FBI are investigating an armed robbery that happened at the West Truman Boulevard River Region Credit Union Thursday morning.

Jefferson City police were called to the location around 9 a.m. when an employee said a male suspect entered the business, displayed a gun and demanded money.

The employees complied with the suspect’s request and the suspect left with an undisclosed amount of money, the police said.

No one was injured during the robbery.

Officials said they have no information on the suspect’s bail at this time. Their investigation is still ongoing.

The credit union posted on Facebook and said that the west station will be closed for the rest of Thursday.
