Interest-free home improvement loans are available to Massachusetts residents

NORTHAMPTON, Mass. (WWLP) – A state-funded program that offers interest-free loans is available to homeowners who need to improve access to their homes.

Of the Home Improvement Loan Program (HMLP) can provide interest-free loans to make necessary changes or modifications to those who need to improve access to their homes.

Valley Community Development, a non-profit organization has partnered with the Community Economic Development Assistance Corporation (CEDAC) to administer the Home Modification Loan Program (HMLP).

“It’s a very effective and flexible program to help people stay at home as they age or care for someone with a disability,” said Donna Cabana, who runs the program for Valley. “HMLP has 20 years of helping people make necessary changes to their homes such as adding roads and raising or creating special use spaces” he continued. Valley is pleased to partner with CEDAC to offer this program to the communities it serves.
