Veteran trial lawyers join as senior counsel at the firm Houston office
HOUSTON, Jan. 19, 2023 /PRNewswire/ — Commercial real estate law firm Hicks Thomas, LLP is expanding its team of trial attorneys with the addition of attorneys. Katherine Kunzis joining the firm as a senior lawyer Houston office This move strengthens the strong and talented pool of trial lawyers.

Mrs. Kunz brings to Hicks Thomas years of experience handling complex commercial litigation matters including breach of contract, fraud, tortious interference, and unjust enrichment. In addition, he has represented a number of power customers, including exploration and production companies, in-stream utilities, independent power producers and general equipment.
Before joining Hicks Thomas, Ms. Kunz is a senior consultant at of Houston Gibbs & Bruns LLP. He also worked as a senior partner at Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan, and as a partner at the of Houston Mrs. Susman Godfrey LLP Kunz’s Experience includes clerking for a US Circuit Court Judge Emilio M. Garza the US Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit, and the District Judge Check Zouhary of the United States District Court for the Northern District of Ohio. After finishing her secretarial work, Ms. Kunz practiced law in the litigation practice of Cravath, Swaine & Moore, LLP in New York City.
Ms. Kunz earned his law degree Northwestern University Law School and its immigration status Yale University. He is a member of the State Attorney’s Office Texaswhere she works as a Women’s Vice Chair in the Skills Committee, and as a member of the State Attorney of New york. She also served as Chair of the Houston Bar Association’s Gender Equality Committee.
