It was less than a day after receiving a warning from a federal judge, former President Donald Trump withdrew his $250 million claim against New York Attorney General Letitia James.
The withdrawal came in a brief filed Friday morning with U.S. District Judge Donald Middlebrooks, Thursday night. warned Trump’s legal team the cry seemed futile.
“The plaintiff, PRESIDENT DONALD J. TRUMP, through his undersigned attorney and pursuant to Fed. R. Civ. P. 41(a)(1)(A)(i), voluntarily dismissing his claims in this action against the defendant. , LETITIA JAMES, without discrimination,” the letter said.
Trump’s lawsuit against the AG sought to protect Trump’s credibility from James, who is $250 million in ongoing legal action which has been accused of fraud in the Trump Organization.
