Davis Polk & Wardwell has hired Jones Day global M&A leader James Dougherty, continuing a string of notable hires at the Wall Street firm.
Dougherty will join Davis Polk as a partner in the firm’s M&A practice in the coming weeks, according to an email from Davis Polk chairman Neil Barr obtained by The American Lawyer. The email stated that he has deep experience in corporate communications, private equity and transactions.
