Change your credit card payment date

Maybe you have too many bills due in one week, or you want to pay your bills on payday.

GREENSBORO, NC – In my world, every two weeks there is a payday.
Here’s the problem, I’m all three Debt Debt Debt must be paid on the same day.
These weeks have been very difficult. So, I wanted to move one of the due dates to another pay week so I could balance things better.

No doubt, I’m not the only person on earth who wants to do this, am I?

“It’s unusual. Most media companies will allow you to do this, but they are not required by law to do so. Most of the time there is no problem,” said Nathan Grant, Senior Tester for Moneytips.com

When I called my credit card, I told them I wanted to change the date of my account. That was July. I thought I would give them a few months to get started. But when the date still didn’t change in October, I called again. This time they said that my date information was changed, but my due date was not changed. Great.

By December, I called again, and this time they told me it was my actual payday that needed to be changed. *sigh*

You guessed it, I already phoned in January of 2023.
This time they asked me to apply, I need to change the date of my bank statement. OMG. I finally said the words: I don’t want my bill to be paid anymore, get it out of my bank account, pay it to you today. Whatever it takes to do that, do that.

I share my experience with you, to help, to encourage you to persevere. As a customer, no one will fight for you, as you fight for yourself.

“It’s something you usually do online but you can
just call the 800 number on the back of your card. That’s a good way to start,” Grant said.

Want to change your payday?

No Days of the Week. You should think about it for a few days. Most cards do not allow you to switch on any day that falls on a weekend throughout the year. So, while you may want the 14th of the month, you may need the 12th.

You can choose dates from the 1st to the 28th of the month. These are the dates in each month of the year, only companies set dates in this section.

MoneyTips.com has a list of major credit cards and how to change your due date for each card.
