Capital One has launched the first luxury hotel fund

Capital One launched the Premier Collection, a group of luxury hotels, on Wednesday. Available only to cardholders of the Capital One Venture X Rewards Credit Card and offers the following financial benefits:

• 10x miles on all books
• A $100 specialty credit that can be used toward things like dining, spa, and other amenities provided in your room (credits vary by location)
• Breakfast is breakfast for two
• WiFi complimentary
• Room upgrades, early check-out, and late check-out are available

The Premier Collection currently contains hundreds of properties. Capital One said, “Our team hand-picked each of the properties in the Premier Collection, looking beyond the obvious to find a diverse group of luxury hotels and resorts.” in his first news release hotel collection.

Capital One is making a push to appeal more to frequent flyers. It launched the Capital One Venture X Rewards Credit Card, its first premium travel reward card, by the end of 2021. Premier Collection now gives bookers a way to book apartments and get extra benefits. Similar to the American Express Fine Hotels + Resorts program and Chase’s Luxury Hotel & Resort Collection.

Currently, Premier Collection is not compatible with those programs, which offer more than 1,000 properties. But it just opened, and those programs have been around for years.
