Attorney Tory Lanez says he is trying to ‘adjust to everything’ in prison

Tory Lanez’s new attorney, Jose Baez, to speak when Tory Lanez was charged with shooting Megan Thee Stallion.

Baez said he wished he had gotten involved in the case sooner when he saw “so many mistakes” were made. “Unfortunately, this is the situation but he has me now and I’m sure I’m willing to give him everything I’ve got and hopefully, we’ll get the the best possible outcome for him.”

The rapper continued, “as you know, Tory has never been convicted of a crime and he’s never been through what he’s going through. So the adjustment he’s making is new to him. In his thanks, he’s listening to his lawyers. He’s a very articulate young man. Through it all, there are definitely things in court that he wishes had gone the other way. .He’s trying his best to adjust to everything, and considering the fact that he’s never been in this situation before, it’s a very difficult process. to go through.”

He went on to explain some of the “mistakes” he saw in court. “I haven’t come yet so I don’t think it’s appropriate for me to comment on the evidence but I will say a lot of things, there are mistakes in the courts all the time. It’s a human process, it’s going to make mistakes no matter what. Now, when you have a high profile there are many things to worry about. The more things the court worries about, the more things the defense lawyers worry about (and) the more things the prosecution worries about. So all the players are playing extra jobs and need to protect those defenses to make sure there is a fair trial to begin with.

Nine times out of 10 we make mistakes so I say there may be a significant chance that there are many mistakes in the system and in this case it should be investigated. And see if the outcome might have been different if it had gone the other way.”
